Today students finished up the film "Enemy at the Gates"

They then were introduced to the Project for the Film, and how to do research for it and utilize sources.

For instance: Students should use wikipedia only as a foundational piece, to get them some information and understanding about the event or topic they are exploring. It shouldn't be used as an academic source. Students should also avoid forums, blogs, ask.com, about.com, quora.com, etc. Try to use primary sources: books, eye witness accounts, newspaper articles, or secondary sources: textbooks.

Just a reminder that all assignments and tests must be submitted and done by January 31st (This Thursday by 3pm).

Today we looked at the major battles of the Pacific Campaign, the Bushido Code in Japan, the Invasion of Okinawa, the Manhattan Project, and the decision to drop the Bomb.
