Today we looked at the causes of WW1. The students gained a better understanding of the acronym M.A.I.N. - (Militarism, Alliances, Imperialism and Nationalism) which are the main causes for WW1. We also explored the assisination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand.

Today students read Chapter 7/8 of the Hunger Games.
They then answered some questions from each of the chapters.

Today we began watching the film 'Cyberbully' in class.

Today we discussed the rise of Aztec Civilization in class. We explored their culture, laws, rules and rights. Afterwords the students watched portions of the film 'Apocalypto' to gain a better understanding of the Aztec beliefs and civilization.
