Today we finished off Western Expansion by looking at the Treaty Process in the United States between Indigenous people and the U.S. Government as well as the Indian Wars from 1860-1890.

Students were given time to finish off assignments in class prior to the end of term.

Today we began a new unit on the Renaissance. The Renaissance was a period of revival in the Arts and Sciences in Western Europe which led to the era of Exploration, Reformation, and Colonization.

We watched three videos on Youtube to give us a better understanding of this period in time.

Today we continued our exploration of Media Literacy by looking at Advertisements and the different types of Appeals that Companies use to try to persuade us to purchase their material. The students were tasked with doing a scavenger hunt around the school of the different types of advertisements that are around. They then were introduced to the various types of appeals that companies make.
