Today students will be learning about 'Manifest Destiny' a slogan that formed the basic foundation of Western Expansion in the United States. There will be two work sheets for this day.

They will also be introduced to the Oregon Trail and the experiences of some of the original settlers travelling that trail.

Toddy will be continuing with our video of 'A Knight's Tale'. The students will be taking notes on the movie looking for accuracies/inaccuracies for their essay.

Today will be a catch up block for students to finish some outstanding assignments.

Today we are going to continue on our reading of 'The Outsiders' by reading chapter 7/8.

Today students will be going down to the computer lab to experience the Oregon Trail through the video game. They will be filling in a worksheet on their experience and some of the perils they faced along their trip.

The first 45 minutes of class will be devoted to gaining an understanding of the places, perils and challenges faced during this excursion. The last 30 minutes will be for free-play.
