Today we worked on a 'Castles' Handout and began watching 'a Knight's Tale'

Students will need to construct an essay based on their viewing of the movie to decide whether this movie is an accurate portrayal of the Medieval ages or not.

Today we worked on the Map of the USA in beginning to get a basic understanding of Western Expansion in the United States. Students were tasked with naming all 50 states.

March 2nd

Today Students began to gain an understanding of 'Manifest Destiny' which was a belief held by early Americans of their destiny to one day rule all of North America. They will also learn about early contact with Indigenous People's across the plains following the Louisiana Purchase.

Today we read Ch. 7/8 of the Outsiders. Students began work on the questions and vocabulary for these chapters.

Today students worked in their literature circle groups to discuss their novels. They were then given class time to continue working on their essay and classwork from previous classes.
