Today students were given the option to work on three different things.
#1 - They could finish the Topic Sentence + Paragraph worksheet we had been working on from the previous class.
#2 - They could finish their literature circle reading and work section for the Literature Circle Share on February 21st.
#3 - They could begin working on a 'Mock-Essay' on a topic of their choice.
The worksheet for the 'Mock-Essay' can be found here.
The students are allowed to choose any topic they want. It does not require an introduction or conclusion, rather I am looking at how well they are utilizing the PEEL method that has been taught to them in class.
The PEEL method worksheet can be found here.
