Today students worked on understanding denotation vs. connotation. They were given a handout and asked to fill it out during class time.

Today students partook in a four corners exercise looking at issues that they face each day in the school: bullying, cyberbullying, the dress code, their responsibility, views on homework, etc. The underlying message is that each of the ideas or topics helps to shape our views about society, religion, rules and law etc and all of these help to shape our political views.

Today we have begun our 4 class research project in the library. Students have been given a project to complete based on the essential question, " How did Feudalism effect the type of life a person would have in the Middle Ages"
