Today students practiced their knowledge of Poetry terms through a review on Kahoot. Afterwords students were given time in class to prepare for the test on Monday.

Today students practiced their knowledge of Poetry terms through a review on Kahoot. Afterwords students were given time in class to prepare for the test on Monday.

Today students wrote a test on the causes of the American Revolution/The American Revolution. Afterwords we began watching 'the Patriot' which explores the tension between loyalists and patriots down in South Carolina prior to the war, as well as the local militias that fought against the Crown during the war.

Today students finished up there exploration of the Vikings and began working on their own Saga. A Saga is an epic or story that often would involve a hero doing heroic deeds to gain honour within their own village. The students were tasked with creating their own characters and coming up with heroic deeds they would accomplish on the field of battle.
