Day 1 - November 20th

Today we finished watching the 'Last of the Mohicans' in class.
English 8
Today we looked at how songs can be a form of poetry. Student's looked at the song 'Gym Class Heroes' and were given sometime to annotate their thoughts on the side of the poem. They then looked at a poem by Robert Burns, 'A Red, Red Rose' written in 1794 and compared this poem to the song they just listened to.
Afterwords, they were tasked with answering some comprehension questions about the poem.

Day 2 - November 21st

Today we looked at the three major religions which influenced life during the Middle Ages in Europe: Judaism, Islam and Christianity. Students explored these religions in their Pathways textbook, and then we looked at a power point presentation on them. Students were tasked with filling in a chart while we looked at the powerpoint.

Today we finished watching the 'Last of the Mohicans' in class.
We then explored some of the Acts that were introduced to the Colonies following the Seven Years War which began to anger the colonists.
